About the Studio

  .

Plan

An essential element of good recording is planning and pre-production. A few hours of artist and producer time spent determining tempo, key and arrangement makes tracking smoother and more cost-effective; it allows our focus to be on getting the best possible performance. This is the opportunity to put down a piano or guitar vocal that will serve as the bedrock for the recording.

Track

MICHELLE PRENTICE & DAUGHTER BG VOC

Whether tracking bass and drums to a guide track then laying down instrumentals and vocals – or, recording a full band live-in-studio performance - Sound Wave is equipped for all your needs. We have access to the best studio musicians in Nashville, and can accommodate all of your requirements from string instruments to brass and reeds.

.

Mix

Here is where we explore the whole palette of sounds you’ve recorded. Selecting takes, positioning instruments and sitting the vocals comfortably to create a memorable recording is a big reason why Sound Wave has ten Grammy Award nominations (and two wins!).

Here at Sound Wave we have all of the software, outboard equipment and expertise needed to master your production to Red Book standards.
